Thank you for looking into the Bill McDonald Merit Scholarship.

This scholarship was established May 11, 1999 in Memory of the late Bill McDonald.  Bill McDonald was a native of Oklahoma, where he played high school football, later became a police officer, and married the future Helen McDonald.  They settled in Alton, Missouri where they raised four children:  William Brian McDonald, Rebecca Lynn (McDonald) Adams, Rachel Suzanne (McDonald) Burkhardt, and Deborah Elane (McDonald) Russell.  Bill McDonald passed away December of 1994.  

The scholarship is determined by involvement and academic merit. The recipient must be a graduating senior of the Alton Missouri High School.
