Our Own Carolina Girl
Here she is, our tiny baby girl...Elizabeth Grace Russell ('Ella' for short). Elizabeth was born September 21st, just two weeks after Ryan turned 2 years old. We are so tickled with her! She loves to cuddle and already makes the cutest little chipmunk noises while sleeping. She was a healthy 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 21 inches long, and so far she seems to have more of my baby features than Ryan did (like a bald head and pointy chin).
Being pregnant in South Carolina during the summer with a two-year old is all that got done this year. Sure, we painted some rooms and did a little landscaping here and there, but that's about it on the home-improvement front. On the fun side though, we had a great time!
Several friends came to stay with us this year to enjoy the beauty of the beaches and Charleston's historic district. Mom even stayed two weeks to help me with Ella and while she was here we rode on a sail ship, visited a monastery, toured a plantation and took a carriage ride. It was a great time despite the 2 a.m. feedings.
